Containd — Account Deletion & Data Deletion

This page explains how users can delete their Containd app account and, optionally, request deletion of certain analytics data.

Immediate effect: Account data is deleted as soon as you confirm deletion.
Retention: Some transaction records may be retained as required by law.
Analytics: Google Analytics data becomes inaccessible within ~72 hours and is deleted within 2 months.

Delete your Containd account

Follow these steps inside the Containd app:

  1. Open the app and go to the Options tab.
  2. Select User Settings.
  3. Log in with the account you want to delete (if you are not already logged in).
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
What happens next? All data associated with your account is deleted immediately upon confirmation. See What is deleted vs. kept for details.

Request deletion of analytics data (without deleting your account)

This optional feature lets you request deletion of your Google Analytics data while keeping your Containd account.

  1. Open the app and go to the Options tab.
  2. Open User Settings and make sure you are logged in with the relevant account.
  3. Return to Options and open Analytics.
  4. Tap Delete my Google Analytics data and confirm.

Timeline: Any associated data stored by Google Analytics is made inaccessible by Google within approximately 72 hours and permanently deleted within 2 months.

FAQ

Do I need to contact support to delete my account?

No. You can delete your account directly in the app via Options → User Settings → Delete Account.

Can I restore my account after deletion?

Deletion is permanent. Once you confirm, we cannot restore your account data.

What happens to purchases or receipts?

We may retain certain transaction records as required by applicable law (for example, tax or accounting regulations) for the legally mandated period.

How long does analytics deletion take?

Per Google’s processing, analytics data becomes inaccessible within ~72 hours and is fully deleted within 2 months after your request is submitted.
